1000 Lives community champions and partner organisations meet at Network events for mutual support.
We try to meet at least twice a year at our main events. One is a big workshop day. The other is a Celebration of Community Champions. We also hold smaller events on different topics. This all depends on the funding we have.
Due to COVID-19 we can not meet together face to face in 2021.
Big Workshop Day on Wednesday 2nd June 2021
Big Thank You Celebration event on Friday 4th June 2021
We have had events about Food, Stories of community action, Digital media skills, Funding, Planning community events, Five ways to wellbeing, Evaluation, Volunteering, and Community Learning.
Celebration events are open to everyone. We invite people to nominate community champions. In 2013 we had a celebration event just for young people.
We have held events in Bentilee, Burslem, Shelton, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke town, Blurton, Sneyd Green, Meir, Hanley and Middleport.
Here are lots of photos of the events. Scroll down to read more.
